Name that Chick!!

Hello everyone!!

We are LONG overdue here for a BLOG GIVEAWAY!! That means this one will be HUGE. The winner will receive one of our awesome aprons, our signature HAIR BLING, and one of our great signature tee's.

Here is what you do....

I need your help naming one of my favorite Barred Rock chicks. She is such a sweet hen and needs a sweet name. Barred Rocks are known for their social nature but this gal takes the cake. She is full of PERSONALITY. Whenever I come out to feed them this little gem is the first at my side clucking and actually wanting to get pick up!! Yes, all I have to do is kneel down put out my palm and she climbs up. If I don't pick her up right away she will actually jump up on my arm. With this in mind take a look at her photo and HELP NAME THAT CHICK!!

Girls Weekend Out!!!

 

A recent girl's weekend away yielded this GREAT find buried in the far corner of an antique store in Summner Washington. I LOVE to find great pieces like this one and dream about the possibilities once I get it home. Here is howI fashioned this great vintage crate into a functional find.....

WHAT YOU NEED....

Vintage Crate with dividers

Pile of about 10 favorite magazines

Chalk for personalizing the front

 

Simply roll the magazines and stagger them throughout the dividers. Personalize the front with chalk. Place in the family room, guest room or bathroom for your ready pleasure.

 

I wanted to share some other photos from the AWESOME girls weekend out with my gal pal LouAnn. We went to Seattle and despite all the rain it was perfect. We are talking SPA treatment, Antiquing, Movies, Starbucks, shopping, staying at one of Seattle's finest hotels and EATING really good food.

 

Great VINTAGE night wear....the tag really read Dynasty but we thought this wording fit well.

One of our first stops was Antiqueing in Sumner Washington. Highly recommended...found lots of treasures, like this here squirrel.

Okay here is the icing on the cake...when we left the hotel in Seattle...the bellhop left us MILK and COOKIES in my FJ Cruiser for the great drive home....

PERFECT COMPANY AND PERFECT WEEKEND!!!

Silo Proof!!

The story went a little something like this....

The Vintage Barn goes to The Farm Chicks to SELL. The FIRST thing I see in Lisa Souers booth..a silo. I actually think it is a grain funnel but I had to have it!! So, I BOUGHT IT...

The End...Oh, I forgot. The proof is in the photos for those non-believers!!

Oh, the FINDS!!!!

I am loving the lot of GREAT vintage letters that I recently found! I am having fun building different words to display in my booth for the upcoming Farm Chicks Antique Show. These letters are HUGE. They range in size from 2 1/2 ft tall to 3 1/2 ft tall. I REALLY want to keep everything that I have for sale...so that's how I know it's going to be a great sale!
